absence of absolute

Specialising in textile, Tomoyo experiments with different materials, people and spaces — seeking to establish a method to enhance sensory and contemplative experiences.

She researches a methodology to compose atmospheric qualities for a sensory experience, manipulating context of space by intervening architectural space with fluidity of textile, and thereby activating sensorial experience with subtle phenomenon.

this is Tomoyo’s first exhibition after recent graduation from Royal College of Art (MA Textiles) earlier this year — hanging in a novel context of Teto studio, a Japanese hair salon with the concept of wishing to offer their visitors and clients an enriched experience also through art, craft and design.
