Indigo Matter

Emi Fujisawa & Dust London

Islington Square, 14th March — 30th April 2022

Indigo Matter was an exhibition with design studio Dust London and textile artist Emi Fujisawa, taking place in the south arcade of Islington Square.

Both studios have a strong research-led focus on sustainability - here linked through their common use of plant dyes (Madder and Indigo) applied to recycled toxic cardboard and upcycled vintage natural fabrics, to make new furniture, home décor pieces & slow fashion garments.

The display was curated by otherprojections & NID.

The duo has a strong interest and belief in the role of art and design in pushing the development of sustainability throughout the design and production process.
